Confirm’s new website was designed and built by the creative agency “Die Goldkinder”. In this interview, Ivo Gadea, Managing Director of the Goldkinder, answers Confirm’s queries.

Ivo Gadea, what makes a good website?

It must be easily accessible, draw you into the world of the company at the very first impression.

What is the “Confirm world”?

It’s the people and their work in the team.

How is that reflected in the new website – which seems more complex?

It starts with the people. But, that alone is not enough, of course. In order to find out what the world of a company looks like, we start every process with a brand core workshop. Once the core of a company has been identified, we look beyond over the horizon. In addition to the team aspect, Confirm’s great affinity with architecture, for example, is a special feature. As a Swiss company with a focus on Switzerland as a location, the corporate presentation also stands for “Swissness”. Both are reflected in the design: clear, bright and very structured, modern and yet timeless.

The “golden children” were already Confirm’s godparents, so to speak. They were responsible for the naming in 2008 when the company was re-incorporated. What was intended?

The name was meant to function internationally and be multi-layered. CON can stand for “construction”, but also for “with”. FIRM can stand for “firm” or also “company” – and “confirm”, since a construction, management company has to confirm many aspects. Last but not least, CONFIRM is simply a beautiful word image.

With the logo, Confirm also gets its name. What does that symbolize?

It is the same with the logo as with the name: There is no one right interpretation. We deliberately decided on a double effect and it should be spatial as well. Similar to a painting by M. C. Escher, it goes up and down, is both simple and complex.

Finally: why “The Gold Children”…?

The query is basically already the response. We wanted a name that raises queries. This is the only way to generate a dialogue. This much we can reveal: we have nothing to do with the Grimm fairy tale of the same name.
