Zürich’s Bahnhofstrasse is one of the world’s most exclusive shopping streets, renowned for its first-class shops and architectural highlights.

Confirm AG was tasked with the overall management and construction management of the Bahnhofstrasse renovation project. Because the project is located in a busy pedestrian zone, it was essential to coordinate with all relevant authorities and the client to ensure that pedestrians and adjacent commercial buildings were not affected by the renovation. The project was characterized by stringent requirements for rapid planning and execution. Simultaneously, it was crucial to minimize disruption to the surrounding businesses and residential areas.

Project Phases:

  • Renovation of levels 2-5 for office space. (Completed)
  • Refurbishment of retail spaces -01 – 01 (Completed)
  • Replacement of the elevator control system with the latest technology to meet the building usage requirements specified by the tenants, as well as modification of the elevator cabins to install the new control system and adapt the elevator to the entrance area.
  • Redesign of the Uraniastrasse entrance area to make it more attractive for tenants, customers, and guests.
  • Replastering and painting of the fire escape stairwell, and equipping the riser shaft within it with new doors to meet fire safety requirements.
  • Facade upgrades to the glass facade and the plastered facades are to be carried out.

The project timeline and handover to the client and tenants took place in several stages:

  • Retail
  • Office space, floors 2-5
  • Entrance on Uraniastrasse
  • Elevator renovation
  • Windows

The renovation of the retail and office spaces is complete. The new tenants, including LLB Bank and other companies, have already moved in. The result is impressive in every respect and represents a successful partial completion of the project.
